What the Supreme Court’s 401(k) Ruling Means – Next Avenue

This is pretty historic. Traditionally, investment banks -not employees – have been the biggest money-makers from 401(k) plans as approximately 1/3 of of a worker’s investments are eaten up by bank “management” fees. The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that it is an employer’s obligation to get plans with lower fees when possible.
