Common heartburn medications linked to greater risk of heart attack

NOTE: There is a link – not necessarily a cause-and-effect established. It could just be coincidence that folks with chronic heart burn to the point they need prescription medication just have more heart attacks for a reason outside of the stomach acid medicine.

Drugs include: Omeprazole (Prilosec), Esomeprazole (Nexium), and Lansoprazole (Prevacid)
